Of all the advertising banners available today, roll-ups are among the most common and useful. Their most compelling advantage that they are extremely compact when rolled up and this makes them very easy to pack, transport and move. They are very easy to set up as well – simply unroll the banner, lock it and set it down where you want it. Although the sturdy Hurricane unit can be used outdoors, most roll-up banners are used indoors, because their large surfaces mean that they catch the wind easily and may blow over.
A large range of roll-ups are offered in many different sizes. The largest Wing models can be up to 1.5m x 2.1m in size, but far smaller ones are available too. Mini Wing measures only 595mm x 1,720mm and Wing, 845mm x 2,100mm. Roll-up banners may be printed on both sides, but keep in mind that 30mm is required at both sides – at the top for attaching to the top tube and at the bottom for attaching to the base tube, with a short part still partially retracted, even when rolled out completely.
Virtually anything can be printed on roll-up banner, but it is best to focus on graphics and large text that creates a big visual impact and are concise enough to disseminate quickly. Passers-by at your exhibition stand are not necessarily going to stand still for a long time to read a lot of text. The banner should be informative and interesting enough to draw in the audience and prompt them to enquire about more information or a brochure.
