The Sandton Convention Centre located in Johannesburg, is one of the top exhibition centres in South Africa, known for its world class facilities including around 11 000 parking spaces. It is situated close to top hotel accommodation, shopping centres, business hubs, and entertainment. Easy to access, the Sandton Convention Centre offers 22 000 square metres of exhibition space with the ability to seat 4500 clients. It consists of 12 storeys designed specifically to handle large exhibitions and special events. Up to 10 000 visitors can attend on occasion. It can handle from small boardroom size meetings to large events with ease. There are various escalators ensuring that delegates, visitors, and patrons can easily move around the centre.

Scan Display’s stand was named Runner Up in the Medium Stand category at Markex & World of Events, held at the Sandton Convention Centre from 10 to 12 June 2008. The latest win means that the exhibition and display specialist has won an award at Markex Jhb for the last five years.
This year’s stand was smaller than previous years’. However, Scan spent more per square metre and achieved a better return on its investment, drawing visitors to the stand and generating an excellent database of leads from the show.
Scan launched its new rolled carpeting at Markex, using the product on the floor and walls of its stand. The carpet comes in large rolls and is cut on site to fit the space, ensuring a superior finish to the alternative carpet tiles.
Scan extended its rolled carpeting from the stand into the exhibition hall aisles to make the stand feel bigger than it was. It also used a high roof to create a feeling of space on the stand.
