First
African Distributor Conference and Madex Design Expo Hosted in June
We proudly announce the success
achieved in hosting representatives of twelve African countries at the first
African Distributor Conference at the start of June this year. With the African
events industry having the potential of enormous growth, we have taken the
opportunity to establish partnerships with several companies in the industry
from many African countries. The delegates to the African Distributor
Conference also had the opportunity to visit our stand at the Madex Design
Expo.
More About the Madex Design Expo
The aim of the Madex Design Expo
is to bring together industry leaders from across the continent to discuss
relevant topics.
It is the annual marketing,
advertising, and design expo, hosted this year from 5 to 6 June at the Sandton
Convention Centre. No fewer than 40 topics relevant to the industry came under
the spotlight, and participation was excellent.
Due to the growing popularity of
the Madex Design Expo, even more seating was made available at the recently
hosted event. Hand-picked speakers addressed delegates on topics related to the
fundamentals of marketing.
The discussions were held in the
seminar theatres. In addition, delegates could browse through the many
interesting stands, including that of Scan Display, and had the opportunity to
network with service providers and key players in the industry.
Boni Mchunu from East Coast Radio
and Kevin Fine from Jacaranda FM were among the speakers. They discussed topics,
such as micro content creation, design strategies relevant to mobile marketing,
and the difference between marketing and branding.
Many more topics came under the
spotlight, and if you have missed this year’s event, be sure to visit our stand
at the next Madex Design Expo. You are also invited to make use of our products,
such as modular stands and exhibition equipment ranging from banners to kiosks,
flooring solutions, and more.
More About the African
Distributor Conference
The conference was hosted in
Johannesburg and consisted of a two-day programme, jam-packed with product
demonstrations and presentations about the leading industry trends, in addition
to a factory tour, as well as an interactive workshop on how to develop and
grow partnerships.
The delegates enjoyed the
browsing of stands at the Madex Design Expo where they gained insight about the
local industry. Delegates, such as Charles Campbell Clause, Director of
Exhibition Stand Contractors in Kenya, noted that the conference was
exceptionally interesting and beneficial for ESC. According to him, they had
the opportunity to meet peers from other African countries and learned about
new products.
Managing Director of Africast
Conferences and Exhibitions in Zambia, Chimwemwe Nyirenda, also gave positive
feedback. Chimwemwe noted the important role of Scan Display in helping exhibition
stand developers across the continent to stay current with the latest
cost-effective and sustainable solutions, as well as trends in the industry.

Why You
Should Display at the SAPOA Annual Convention and Property Exhibition
The SAPOA Annual Convention and
Property Exhibition is an annual event, hosted this year at the Cape Town
International Convention Centre. It is the epitome of events for property
professionals, stakeholders, and the property media.
The SAPOA event brings together CEOs
of firms, banking sector experts, academics, analysts, suppliers, realtors,
consultants, buyers, and investors. The convention is themed and the 2019 theme
is focused on gaining a better understanding of issues affecting the property
sector and planning for the future amidst political, economic, and social
uncertainty. The SAPOA Annual Convention and Property Exhibition provides a
platform for important discussions on how to address challenges amidst
uncertainty and to develop the sector during such times.
It entails a three-day
convention, hosted by Iman Rappetti, known for journalistic excellence. If you
operate or have a stake in the property sector, it is worth visiting the
convention. However, it is equally important to have an exhibition stand at the
SAPOA event in order to build brand awareness. Below are reasons for booking an
exhibition stand:
- Increase the recognition of your brand, products, and services
by being part of the event.
- Meet stakeholders and engage with existing and potential clients
or suppliers.
- Strengthen brand awareness with one of our award-winning
exhibition stand designs.
- Position your company amongst the top players in the industry.
- Enjoy face-to-face network opportunities.
- Gain valuable feedback from visitors regarding your products and
services.
- Develop an extensive and value-adding leads database.
- Introduce new concepts, products, and services.
- Address issues with products and services in quality
face-to-face conversations.
- Be part of the solution creators.
Several
sponsorship opportunities exist, giving your company even more opportunities for
brand exposure.
How to Stand Out
With top
players in the industry exhibiting at the event and actively participating in
the convention, you will want to make sure that your brand is noticed and
appreciated. To compete favourably with key exhibitors, you need to collaborate
with an award-winning exhibition stand supplier. We meet the requirement and as
trusted suppliers of exhibition stands, we provide you with design expertise,
state-of-the-art prints, innovative technology, and an extensive range of
products and services relevant to world-class exhibitions.

you to add on or configure the display stand according to the available space at
the SAPOA exhibition.
The
modular option is recommended if you want a stand that can be used at several
exhibitions. When disassembled, it takes up little space and you also don’t
need technical expertise to set it up. This solution is recommended if you want
your exhibition space to be exceptionally unique and specific to one particular
exhibition. Regardless of your choice, you will find that our products and services
are perfectly suited for such quality events in South Africa.

The Trends
and Exciting Upcoming Events of Exhibition Infrastructure in 2019
The exhibitions, trade shows, and
event trends in 2019 show an increasing need for fast-and-easy-to-set-up
infrastructure and stands. Time is limited and event organisers, as well as
exhibitors, require infrastructure solutions that can be set up and
disassembled quickly, without compromising on the professional display.
Exhibition facilitators are
looking for ways in which to do more without adding to their infrastructure or
extending the amount of time spent on setting up. To this end, more and more
organisers are looking for solutions that are available from leading display
and exhibition design companies.
Organisers want to maximise the
participation of the exhibitors and sponsors. As such, they are looking for
ways in which to incorporate product launching, live demonstrations, and
meetings to engage attendees. This also helps to create more revenue streams.
To this end, organisers are looking for flexible infrastructure solutions, such
as the ability to quickly set up a meeting venue or special product display
box.
The use of more technology in
exhibition infrastructure is also a trend that can be expected to continue.
Visual impact, professional display environments, and optimal engagement are
improved when using technology such as 3D rendering and fabric light boxes.
Some of the events where the mentioned trends in exhibition infrastructure are
noticeable in 2019 are briefly noted below.
Local
South African Manufacturing Expo
This exhibition covers all
aspects of manufacturing and is the perfect place for the display of local
manufacturing capabilities in the country. Here, the exhibitors present their
solutions to an expert audience. With manufacturing being a technology-driven
industry, the event boasts superb exhibition infrastructure. Exhibitors have
the opportunity to engage with the audience, showcase their products and expertise,
increase their revenues, and benefit from greater brand awareness.
Professional
Beauty
The annual trade fair focuses on
bringing together all aspects of beauty products, services, and treatments.
Technology plays an important part in the modern beauty industry and it is just
fitting that the exhibition infrastructure includes the usage of top-notch
technology. Exhibitors of cosmetics, skincare treatments, and accessories go
all out to make their stands unique, attractive, and relevant to the audience.
The event is the biggest of its
kind in the beauty sector. If your business operates within this sector, be
sure to book your stand. Well over 200 exhibitors provide for an exciting
display environment where audience interaction is of extreme importance. Should
you wish to set up a stand, make use of our expertise in exhibition infrastructure
to help you create a unique, technology-driven, and quick-to-set-up stand.
Windaba
2019
Hosted in November every year, it
is South Africa’s leading expo on wind and renewable energy. The event
attracts thousands, as it is focused on sustainable technologies. To stand out
amongst the many exhibitors, your exhibition stand must have all the bells and
whistles needed to ensure optimal engagement, easy flow, a professional
appearance, and brand appeal. As experts in exhibition infrastructure and stand
design, we should be your first call to help you achieve a good return on
investment.

Stands for Retail – Four Showcasing Mistakes to Avoid
Brick and mortar stores, as well
as trade booths, are physical environments. In order to attract attention in
such environments, it is essential to invest in display stands for retail that
are focused on generating interest. Every display must be set up with the aim
to attract attention and to create an immersive experience. Sales conversions
are lower when the display stands are not professional.
If your retail or trade show
displays are not working, consider investing in our display stands for retail.
We offer an exceptional range and provide you with modular and custom-design
options. To help you identify problem areas in your retail or exhibition
stands, we briefly look at some display mistakes to avoid.
- No Depth
Lack of height and depth make a display
dull. Products displayed at the same height throughout a store or on an exhibition
stand lose their appeal. To make every product shine, you need stands for
retail that allow for flexible displays, giving you opportunities to create
visually appealing and attention-grabbing displays.
You want to vary the height,
depth, colour, and related visual elements. Some products should be displayed
in glass cabinets, while others would be best displayed in glass counters, with
some more on pedestals and others hanging.
For retail and exhibition
purposes, keep all your displays clutter-free. Too many variations and jam-packed
displays cause confusion. In addition, the visitor is bombarded with visual
elements to the level where it is impossible to focus their attention on one
product. If a display is not attractive and is unapproachable, you can bet that
the visitor or shopper will go elsewhere.
You do not have to fill every bit
of space in the store or event booth. Indeed, open spaces are good and can be
used to direct the flow of visitors. You may have an elaborate display in the
middle of the floor and the perfect display stands to support your idea. However,
what if there is no electricity at that spot? Do you have to install a light
box right there? Do you need additional light to highlight the products on
display? If it means having to have visible wiring, it is better to reconsider
where your display will be located.
Even with the best possible
display stands for retail, if your displays make no sense to the audience, you are
wasting space. Every item on display must lead to more interest and must fit in
with your overall sales strategy.
Give us a call for more
information about our display stands for retail environments and events. Our
consultants also assist with layout and technology, helping you to create
engaging shopping environments.
